Confirm the handover

Match your formation documents to the official state record. Confirm who receives registered agent mail and who controls each email, phone, and account created for the business. Make a list of anything still pending.

Separate one-time work from renewals

Write down which services end after the first year and what they cost to continue. Include registered agent service, business address, phone, email, and any provider support subscription you choose.

Build a calendar for your actual state

Check the formation state’s official website for reports, renewal dates, and applicable fees. Do not copy another founder’s calendar: requirements differ. Record the source and schedule an early reminder to review it.

Discuss tax obligations for your structure

Ask an appropriately qualified tax professional to review ownership, classification, activities, and reporting obligations. No revenue does not automatically mean no paperwork. Consider relevant obligations in your own country as well.

Keep the money trail clear

Organize invoices, provider receipts, and business transaction records from the start. Keep records for your adviser and avoid making decisions on the basis of a generic “tax-free LLC” promise.

Verify before acting on mail

A letter that looks official may be an optional solicitation or a scam. Confirm unfamiliar demands with the relevant state or federal authority using its independently located contact details.

Official sources

Check the issuing authority for current requirements before you act.
